Intellectual property laws protect the intellectual work of those who created it so that it may not be redistributed illegally. Commercial software programs categorize under Copyright laws, while software does not necessarily neatly fit into the categories of Copyright laws, Trademark laws, Patent laws, and contract laws. Many computer criminals pirate software, and piracy is a violation of intellectual property laws.
6. Describe several different types of programs that can be used for software sabotage?
Programs used for software sabotage include software bugs, malware, and hardware glitches. Viruses, macro viruses, worms, and Trojan horses are kind of software sabotages.
