3/9/11 DQ

What have you done this week that directly or indirectly involved a database? How would your week have been different in a world without databases?

Databases make it easier for us to retrieve information, and one that I used this past week was that of Google's. When one 'Googles' something, Google lists pages of matching 'hits' relevant to that what you 'Googled' within seconds.Another database I used was Microsoft Excel where I had to input information into the data table of the school's roster.
Without a database like Google, retrieving information would take a longer process. These kind of databases save time when getting information because information is retrieved faster than that of looking through numerous of scattered files.
Databases like Microsoft Excel allow users to organize and retrieve information more efficiently than data scattered randomly or on sheets of paper.
