De-skilling is when a job is transformed so that it requires less skill, as computerized cash registers, word processors and databases.  Up-skilling is when a job is transformed so that it requires more skill, like clerical jobs.

People use home computers for various uses. Home computers can be used for basic business applications, education, information access, communication, entertainment, and creative pursuits. 

16. What are smart cards, and how are they used?
Smart cards are cards that look like standard credit cards but have embedded  microprocessors and memory instead of magnetic strips.Smart cards are used for dialing a connection on a mobile telephone and be charged on a per-call basis,establishing your identity when logging on to an Internet access provider or to an online banks, pay for parking at parking meters or to get on subways, trains, or buses , give hospitals or doctors personal data without filling out a form, make small purchases  on the Web, buy gasoline at a gasoline station, ...
Smart cards hold critical  ID information and automatically record each transaction for later retrieval.
